I'm giving the unit 3 stars for now since I haven't seen one and don't own one. I will change the rating once I conclude my investigation on this. However, for 600 bucks I'm curious as to why it comes with an acrylic "glass like" top? Acrylic is a highly scratchable material. Hardly appropriate for an arts and crafts table top it would seem.
I'd like to hear opinions about this before making this purchase for my wife. A true glass top could always be made locally but then adds even more to the price. This just doesn't make sense to me. Did the manufacturer cut a serious corner in cost here or am I missing something? Please voice your experience or input in my comment link. This may be helpful for others who also have this concern.

I LOVE my Scrapbox EZ View craft desk. I purchased it in black. I use it as my home office desk and my craft desk for my card-marking hobby. It has PLENTY of storage space and I love the side that has the zippered pockets that attach to the door with Velcro. The clear top is nice to you can easily find that thing you're looking for without opening every drawer. The desk is very well-made and easy to put together. I was very impressed with the packaging the desk was shipped in, sturdy and kept the contents protected well. When my shipment arrived, we discovered that Scrapbox had sent only the top piece and not the side sections with the doors. I contacted Scrapbox and they were very courteous and apologetic for the oversight. The rest of my desk arrived within a week. The only thing that might make this desk better is a hutch to set on top for even more storage. :)
